W’menswear design for Kardo. Honoring centuries-old methods of fabrication, and weaving stories of trailblazing women into garments. In collaboration with Kardo, W’menswear are linking past and present so that you can experience this very unique connection to land and time.
The Ralley Jacket is constructed with our handloom 3x1 denim with Khadi pockets. Khadi is a traditional Indian cloth promoted by Gandhi during the Indian independence movement in 1903, contributing to the development of Indian nationalism. It is made of handspun yarn either left in its natural undyed and unbleached state, or dyed with natural color. It is then woven on a handloom in Gondal, Gujarat, by the weaving collective Udyog Bharti that supports over 2000 weaving families in sustainable textile production.
The Ralley Jacket is made with 100% cotton denim, 100% Khadi cotton for the trim, and 100% natural dyed block printed cotton for the lining, with Kantha stitching. Handwash separate colours, and hang dry in shade. Lauren is 175cm tall and wearing size M.
