W'MENSWEAR CLIMBING SKIRT IN MUSHROOM
W’menswear Autumn Winter '25 draws inspiration from the pioneering female mountaineers who defied the odds and scaled the world’s most challenging peaks. Tailored for the modern explorer, this collection honours the indomitable spirit of women who reached new heights—both on the mountains and in society.
Inspired by the fearless spirit of Jan Conn and Jane Showacre’s groundbreaking 1952 all-female ascent of Devil’s Tower, the W'menswear Climbing Skirt pays homage to the ingenuity and grit of early female mountaineers.
Its boxy silhouette and zippered back vents echo the practical modifications made by 19th-century climbers who adapted their long skirts for movement and mobility. A structured belted waistband and tailored back pockets borrow from the iconic Gurkha pant — a nod to classic menswear interpreted through a distinctly feminine and functional lens.
Made for movement and made with intent, the Climbing Skirt stands at the intersection of history, utility, and empowerment — just like the women who inspired it.This rendition is made in a slubbed herringbone cotton, woven small batch in Japan.
